Dr Nanci Hanover

For over 32 years Dr. Nanci Hanover, Ed.D. has been a powerful force within her community. She is a widely respected educator, scholar, entrepreneur, community activist and a dedicated advocate for students and those in need. She served as an educator with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for over 32 years educating, mentoring, and advocating for the welfare of her students. Over the years she has personally provided financial assistance and guidance for students in hardship. For 25 years she has also served as a faculty member at National University where she continues to serve as an instructor and mentor.
Since becoming a medic in 1984, Dr. Hanover has consistently been on the forefront of emergency medicine. She is a CPR and First Aid instructor for both the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross. Her passion is volunteering. She has served with the Ventura County Medical Reserve Corps for over a decade, and been CERT Level 3 trained since 2003. In addition to her many talents and responsibilities, she has been a volunteer with the Red Rover Foundation and the Ventura County EVRT.
In 2021, Dr. Hanover brought her passion for health care, student advocacy, and health care education together and founded Project Medics, LLC and the Project Medics Foundation. The Project Medics Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization, will use funds obtained through the work of Project Medics, LLC to provide food, nutritional awareness, supplies, feminine products, clothing, and scholarships to area high schools students in financial hardship. “Nothing is impossible when someone cares,” she said. Having lived by this adage for over 32 years, it continues to personify Dr. Hanover’s commitment to youth advocacy and well-being.
